Lime is packed warm and travels far. Fruit that comes in from the field carries field heat with it, and a pack that traps that heat instead of letting it out is the difference between fruit that arrives sound and fruit that arrives breaking down. The second thing lime asks for is care at the stem end, where bruising starts. Formats differ mostly in how gently they hold the fruit and how much brand they let you put on the pack.
